4x6 Horizontal Bandsaw
I had this bandsaw about 15 years – It looks exactly like the 4x6 bandsaws that are sold today all over the place by different resellers, pretty much all of them seem to be made in China, mine is pretty sure no exception there, but I have no clue who the reseller of mine was.
I bought it used on ebay and it came in very sad condition in two packages, taken apart and with the wiring in horrible shape.
I redid the paintjob, rewired the motor and the switch and put a new 10/14TPI bimetal blade on it, since then it has always been a reliable way of cutting down large pieces of material to be processed on other machines.
The 10/14TPI blades are my preferred choice for cutting almost all material, without having to change blades a lot. Only for very thick stock I change to a 8/12TPI blade. The 10/14TPI tends to be a bit coarse for cutting thin walled pipes and profiles, but if you go easy on the cutting pressure it works quite well.
